Group Sales Excellence Manager (D5)

Location: Corporate Head Office, Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal
Requirements: •Lead all sales effectiveness activities in-country, covering all Illovo Africa markets across the full portfolio •Provide direction for in-country brand/channel plans and integrated activity planning. •Provide sales excellence thought leadership, benchmarking and sharing of best practices. •Operationalise the Illovo Sales Way across African markets according to channel and sales execution standards and priorities in accordance with best practice. •Manage and oversee the execution of sales deliverables, POSM and merchandising standards by channel at the shopper interface. •Responsible for channel segmentation, monitor current footprint and market penetration against targets. •Work collaboratively with in-country S&OP, Logistics and Trade Marketing teams to facilitate the implementation of sales strategies and associated activities, according to country maturity and sales capability.. •Monitor KPI standards for pricing, availability and service execution and provide guidance on corrective measures. •Report regularly and provide updates on sales excellence initiatives. •Collaborate with in-country teams to carry out budget forecasts, and assist with the achievement of sales budgets through proactively addressing volume or value shortfalls. •Ensure In country teams execute the in-trade merchandising and POSM solutions as directed by the Illovo Sales Service guideline. •Develop and implement sales reward and recognition programs for each country to assist in maintaining and growing motivation levels of the salesforce. •Execute prioritised sales-related projects and workflows to achieve Sales and RtC objectives and specific country strategies. •Influence in-market senior leadership to adopt the Sales and RtC best practices in sales execution

Marketign Insight Analyst (D2)

Location: Corporate Head Office, Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal
Requirements: •Oversee and update the database housing all quantitative and qualitative research purchased or conducted in the various areas of the Commercial Team •Support strategic planning activities by providing actionable insights and recommendations based on assessments of markets and competitors, both existing and potential •Identify and collect appropriate consumer, shopper, customer, competitor, market, economic, financial and/or operational data and perform financial, statistical, and qualitative data analysis of markets and competitors •Assist with all modelling requirements to draw / update hypotheses created from this data on an ongoing basis so as to assist the business in identifying opportunities and risks to deliver business value. •Understand a wide range of data sources to enable the selection of the most appropriate/correct data sources to answer the brand or business issue. •Provide deep analytics and modelling to assist in identifying opportunities and risks to deliver business value •Receive and translate data into executable and effective market and intelligence reports. •Manage & compile and deliver business intelligence reports on competitors to end users on a regular basis; covering aspects such as marketing, pricing and sales tactics •Develop scorecards from information provided by the Marketing Manager, which comprise, and deliver on, the requested metrics. •Partner, and support, the Group Commercial and in-country commercial teams, as applicable to the role

Marketing Manager Consumer Brands (D5)

Location: Corporate Head Office, Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal
Requirements: •Build meaningful consumer and shopper insight base to inform product mix. •Refresh Illovo consumer segmentation model annually to anticipate future trends and consumption Behaviour. •Embed group marketing practices in-country. •Manage all research required to build insights in terms of consumer shopper channel and category Research. This includes taking a key role in consumer research to gauge the effectiveness of communication being developed. •Develop optimal portfolio design that drives profitable, sustainable long term growth including price point laddering,, product type positioning & pack format and packaging •Develop and maintain a compelling, differentiated and executable Illovo brand proposition (inclusive of all country brands) covering brand laddering ,brand identity & brand call to action •Develop the Illovo brand strategies and brand plans for the portfolio. Custodian of and CoE for the Illovo brand portfolio in terms of the full mix. •Monitor brand health scorecards and build necessary action plans covering,financial performance, market share, quality ,competitor activity and equity, •Formulate the marketing communication strategy process to meet brand objectives. Share and interrogate relevant consumer, shopper and brand information and insight with communication stakeholders, particularly third party partners. Make media choices to deliver brand strategic priorities. •Monitor trends and competitor activity to gain insight into market impact and to ensure strategies and activations are of a standard to counter this activity. •Drive continuous improvement analysis that will lower cost of product without diminishing brand value. • Champion a passion for quality as a passport factor of our brand promise through value chain. • Drive innovation opportunities identified through consumer insights, ensuring these are commercially viable.
